Archery Gameplay Overhaul SE comes from veteran RPG developer D Servant, who has been creating popular mods for years such as the excellent Dark Elf Archery mod for SSE. D Servant is also the creator of some of the most beloved fantasy mods for games such as Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and Neverwinter Nights: Protector of Hyrule. With his years of experience in making great archery gameplay overhauls, he's come up with an extremely comprehensive overhaul that adds many new features, fixes and balance changes to your archery experience. The main features included are:
Added - Completely new arrow model. While this doesn't seem like much, the bow is now equipped with a more realistic arrow model, which is clearly visible and does not appear so fake when using enchanted arrows or bows. The arrow now has three arrowheads, instead of two, and is made out of a material that actually reflects light, making the arrow look more lifelike and realistic when using both sight and movement skills.
Changed - Different arrow models have been added to the game. Two types of wooden bows have been added, one with a blade that changes shape according to your point of aim and the other with an AC/DC adapter that charges while in use. The bow has now a hop-up, which helps stabilize the bow when adjusting the draw speed. One of the major complaints about this type of bowsmanship mod is that it makes the bow harder to aim, so it's recommended to use sight and movement skills for this one. There's also a brand new perk for archery hunters called the Tracking System, which is used to tell you how far your target has moved, allowing you to engage your prey more effectively.
